Desperate McCain

The McCain / Palin Campaign is crashing and burning.

He lost the first debate, he lost the second debate.

Obama is pulling away in crucial swing states. He's even leading formerly Republican states.

No wonder McCain is getting more and more erratic and desperate everyday.

Take for example the "Ayers" smear. Like duh dude...Clinton already tried this during the primaries. It didn't really take off.

I mean c'mon...so you serve in a school board with someone who did a very bad thing decades ago. Do you really vet everyone you meet or everyone you serve with? Do you agree with the past actions of everyone you serve with? Heck no.

Don't even get me started on bringing up McCain and Palin's past associations...which by the way are far far more horrible than this Ayers thing. Alaska Independence Party anyone? That party wants Alaska to secede from the Union. That is called treason. McCain's association with Keating was far more solid that this Ayers smokescreen he's trying to blow up the American electorate's behind.

He knows he cannot win talking about issues...So John McCain takes the lowest road possible. What total hypocrite. This is a man who spoke out against these very kind of smear campaigns after it was used against him back in 2000. Maverick my butt! McCain's latest actions shows he's got nothing different compared with the worst of the Republicans.

Good for Obama to stay above the fray and let surrogates handle this act of desperation from the McCain / Palin campaign.

Heck he could just sit tight and ignore McCain and McCain will destroy his own campaign by himself with these erratic acts of desperation. Did his staff not notice during the 2nd debate that everytime they tried to go negative the live impression meter from undecided voters went way way down? People are sick of this stuff...they want to know what you can do for them! And McCain has no answer to that. McCain does not know what to do for ordinary folks like you and me. How can he? He's a multimillionaire with 13 houses, and 8 cars, married to an heiress. He's never had to balance a household budget to make ends meet. He's never had to worry about losing his house. He grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth and now he is secure in the knowledge that no matter how bad the economy goes...he will have some place to call home...well 13 of them!

I think Obama should revive Clinton's battle cry back in 1992. IT'S THE ECONOMY, STUPID! That's what people care about now! IT'S THE ECONOMY, STUPID!

HE MCCAIN...IT'S THE ECONOMY STUPID! If you don't have a clue how to fix it, then you have already lost this election. Because...that's what people care about the most this time...it's the economy, stupid!

NO MCCAIN / PALIN!

VOTE OBAMA / BIDEN 2008!

Krauthammer got it right when he stated the case for his vote:
“The case for McCain is straightforward. The financial crisis has made us forget, or just blindly deny, how dangerous the world out there is. We have a generations-long struggle with Islamic jihadism. An apocalyptic soon-to-be-nuclear Iran. A nuclear-armed Pakistan in danger of fragmentation. A rising Russia pushing the limits of revanchism. Plus the sure-to-come Falklands-like surprise popping out of nowhere.
Who do you want answering that phone at 3 a.m.? A man who's been cramming on these issues for the past year, who's never had to make an executive decision affecting so much as a city, let alone the world? A foreign policy novice instinctively inclined to the flabbiest, most vaporous multilateralism (e.g., the Berlin Wall came down because of "a world that stands as one," and who refers to the most deliberate act of war since Pearl Harbor as "the tragedy of 9/11," a term more appropriate for a bus accident? “
Krauthammer also wryly notes:
“McCain's critics are offended that he raised the issue of William Ayers. What's astonishing is that Obama was himself not offended by William Ayers. [emphasis added] “
